Follow the Vietnam conflict across decolonization, US intervention, civilian suffering and the contested end of the war. Feature films foreground specific experiences while a substantial documentary offers a broader Vietnamese and American chronology. The routes explicitly distinguish dramatization from the historical record.
A focused introduction through selected screen history, with historical context and clear limits of dramatization.

American military commitment expanded during 1964–65. Individual battles are only one aspect of the multi-front conflict.
